Day 52. “Up From Below” by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros

The first and only time I saw Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros was at Independence Jam on the beach in Oceanside, CA. One of the most magical places to watch a concert. A quarter of the crowd was there with tambourines to back up the band. Sounds strange…but it was delightful. They really embraced the audience and made them a part of their music.

I’ve really enjoyed this album. It isn’t anything spectacular…”Ain’t nothing special about that rice”-my dad once said. But, it led to wonderful memories with friends…on the beach…with a bunch of crazy kids and tambourines. I also may have had multiple over priced craft beers and bought a ridiculous $50 t-shirt…but all in all the experience was worth it, I think? (I still have the t-shirt..)  🙂 Plus…The Silent Comedy was also there and put on a spectacular show on the side stage!

If you can get past the horrific screaming tweens and a shaky camera…

Watching this video reminds me of drinking all of those craft beers…

Tomorrow: “Nevermind” by Nirvana yep.
